Listening to 30 minutes of one song on repeat could drive you crazy–unless you are doing focused practice and get to listen to other music of your choice for the other required listening time. This is what we are trying right now, and I think it’s helping! With seven children having each studied different instruments, we have tried TONS of different approaches to fit each personality. I think it’s important to check in with the child: if they aren’t flourishing with the current approach, something needs to change. Suzuki isn’t a perfect method: it’s a great set of tools that needs to be adapted to fit the child. Music is too beautiful a gift to ruin the learning process at an early age! #musiceducation #suzukimoms #suzukicello #helpingchildrensucceed #musicpracticingchallenges #nurturingmusic #musicfamily
