Missionaries Through the Generations
Last Sunday I had a fabulous time exploring a new section of familysearch.org: the early missionary discovery page. (Click on photo below to go to familysearch.org.)
I found photos and bios detailing their missions of 20 missionaries directly related to me who served missions between 1835-1930! And I found that 7 of my great-, great-great-, and great-great-great-grandfathers served missions! I had no idea!
I also discovered the same information about Lane’s side. I printed out as many of these photos that I could screen shot and then laminated them and added them to our missionary board. I was also able to find the missionary photo of my dad thanks to my awesome cousin who had a document from her mom that she had added to my dad’s memories page on FamilySearch.org! I made that discovery on Father’s Day this year. What a great Father’s Day gift!
I loved seeing the missionary photos that I discovered and being able to share them in my home. (The rest of the information can be found by logging into familysearch.)
