To think for themselves

Lane and I are ever more determined to help our children think for themselves and not get drawn into scams, political goofiness, conspiracy theories, or religious overzealousness. We live in a crazy time! So many times we forget to think for ourselves: to gather information, to discuss a question with those who have accurate information or reliable sources, to ask basic questions: Does it make sense? Is it logical? Is it wise? What ramifications/consequences will this information have? Is it Godly? Is it helpful? etc.

We’ll see if we have taught well as our children grow up and what they do with the information they receive.
